March Monthly Meet Up
Date: March 17, 2026 | 7:00 pm
Join us for our next monthly meet up on Tuesday, March 17th, 7PM-9PM at Neighbors & Friends - 88 E Union St., Pasadena. Light bites and drinks will be served. Each month, we’ll come together with fellow mama business owners to network, share ideas, and collaborate. Our training topics will change monthly to keep things fresh and valuable. This month’s session will be led by Therese Edwards, Senior Lecturer. The Matriarchy Model: A Community-centered Framework for Sustainable, Profitable Businesses What if businesses weren’t built on extraction, burnout or endless growth... but on stability, reciprocity and longterm community care? In this conversation, we’ll pragmatically explore how matriarchy can inspire a community-centered framework for building businesses that are both financially strong and socially rooted. With matriarchy as our model, profit becomes sustainability, leadership transitions to stewardship and we can experience growth at community and personal levels. During our chat, we'll examine shifts we can make right now that align revenue with values and collectively craft a path to build companies that are better designed to nurture ourselves, our families and the people we serve. About our presenter: Therese Edwards has served as a senior lecturer in the communication studies department at Loyola Marymount University for over two decades and has partnered with women-owned and community-centered small- and medium-sized businesses as a communications strategist since 2002.

About Mama Made
Mama Made is a member-driven, non-profit with a mission to support mamas in their personal and professional aspirations. With more women in the workforce than ever before, there is a desperate need for support services and resources for women that are not only juggling life as a business owner, but as a mother. Mama Made serves three primary functions: a directory for mama-owned businesses and non-profits based in Southern California, a network for mamas to connect with other mamas who share their passion for family and business, and a hub for resources and training services geared toward small, family-owned businesses.
